A day at Spacefest 2027 is for everyone.
We want to encourage young scientists, technologists, engineers, mathematicians, lawyers, and doctors, to name a few, to have an active interest in space and astronomy. We want their families to come along and have fun. We want those who’ve already had a career to also be inspired and carry the flame. So how are we going to do all that?
Spacefest is going to compise:
A programme of talks in the morning from 10:00 aimed at wide audience exploring the wider impact of space and astronomy.
A programme of talks in the afternoon from 14:00 for those with a fascination in space and astronomy who would like to deepen their knowledge and find out about some of the latest developments in the field.
A mobile planetarium to enjoy the space environment without having to strap on a rocket.
An astrophotography competition for those clicking with mobile phones, small scopes, smart scopes, and Hubble replicas in their back gardens.
Virtual Reality experiences that allow you to safely tour the Universe.
Several dozen exhibitor stands and displays by space-related organisations, charities, and businesses.
Space themed activities for the young people to get involved in.
